Bhavana Pandey on how she deals with trolling

When asked how she deals with trolling, Bhavana Pandey said, “See, that way… anyway, people interpret, you know what I mean. If today, like, you know, if you’re papped or you’re at an event and, you know, a video or photograph is taken, people are always analyzing this. You know, even a picture of yours — people will analyze it. They’ll ask, ‘Why is she looking happy? Why is she looking sad? Has she gained weight or lost weight? Does she look old, or does she look young?’ So, in any case, people have an opinion.”

She added, “So, I think putting yourself out there, as I said once before — again, I’m in a much calmer and more comfortable zone today. So I don’t feel those things anymore. I used to feel them a lot. And for me, trolling about me or such harsh comments don’t matter to me as much as what people say about, you know, my family. So, I don’t take it so personally anymore. It’s on me. You learn, you know. No one is born to handle things unless you experience it. You go through it, and you learn it. Then you learn to find your way around it, and you learn how to deal with things and positively take them.”

Bhavana Pandey on how Ananya Panday deals with trolling

Speaking about how her daughter, Ananya Panday dealt with trolling, Bhavana Pandey said, “Of course, she was also like 18 when she joined the industry. Today, she just turned 26, so, you know, hers has also been a journey; it’s been an experience. She has learned along the way. In fact, I think I have learnt more from her than myself. I’ve seen how she has managed her journey, how she doesn’t get so affected anymore. That’s a huge inspiration for me. But for Ananya also it costs a lot, you know, it’s human to be affected. I used to get affected too, in fact, even more than her.”

She concluded, “But even she used to get affected, and she used to feel like, ‘Why? You know, why is someone saying this about me? Or why are people writing this about me?’ But now she’s, you know, kind of understood how to filter out what is constructive, what is going to help her in her growth. You know, she takes that which is important and works on it. The rest of it is all noise. You know, people have to say something. It’s people’s job to say something, so it’s fine.”
